My quebecois boyfriend always tries the poutine wherever we go and inevitably is disappointed. Cheese curd standards have been improving in the city of late, but the gravy is never right, he says, or there's too much, making the fries soggy. Poutine Plus is the first place in Toronto to win his favour.
The fries are good quality. The cheese, while not squeaky fresh, is authentic. The gravy is the key--dark, thick gravy in just the right quantity. If you've been there, let me know what you think in the comments, below.

Hi...just read your post, and yes this place is real just like a place you would find in Montreal. I dont know what all the hype is about Smokes.
Nice crispy fries with a awesome gravy with real beef chunks.
Looks like if might be a franchise not sure.
Love the fries here....they blow away poutini and smokes.
I think it has to do with the container, the others get soggy so fast.
I am from New York City and was pleased to see that this place has Nathan's Hot Dogs as well. I dont know why this place is not packed. Any place in NYC with Nathans and Fries like this place would be packed at lunch.
My office orders at least 10 hot dogs for lunch every week.
